The Catskill, Adirondack & Berkshire Railroad is an HO-modular model railroad club located in New York's Capital Region. Our membership draws from the surrounding counties. We have retired, professional, and students as our membership.

What is modular railroading? Modular railroading is the ability to bring the hobby of model railroading to the public. A modular layout has the ability to be different sizes, shapes and contain different scenes. Modular railroading allows a person to work on a piece of a larger layout. People who live in apartments, college dorms, mobile homes and small homes find this an easy way to contribute to a larger portable layout.

Modules are interchangeable pieces that can fit with other standard modules to create a larger display.

People with large layouts at home also are involved in modular railroading. These people often have their modules connected to their home layouts.
